The entire plant possesses a refreshing minty scent.  Smallish lance shaped somewhat hairy leaves are arranged in whorls along the length of its 1 meter stems.  Dense clusters of white flowers with purple spots appear on the stem tips from late Spring until frost.  Mountain mint is a great nectar plant and its honey is much sought after.  Scent is subtley different from the two other minty plants we grow. Makes a very nice tea.

Delicate looking native lily to 1 meter tall.  Thick wiry stems hold foliage high.  White trumpet flowers hang from stem tips in two's or threes.  Orange-scarlet berries follow.  Makes a nice clump and slowly spreads over time via seed and rhizome. Can tolerate a few hours of direct sun.  A tough herbaceous perennial.  Root ball is very dense and will not let other plants push through easy.  Grows quickly from seed.  Drought tolerant when established.  Deer proof.

A stunning early spring blooming species with nodding globe like flowers.  Blooms range in colour from ivory (with or without carmine marking) to carmine.  Each arching stem can carry up to 10 of these incredibly lovely toothed edged flowers.  Co-evolved with our wet winters and dry summers, so becomes naturally dormant in summer to survive the drought, so provide such conditions in order for the plant to thrive (similarly to our native Fritillaria).
