This spreading multibranching deciduous beauty grows 6 meters tall with over twice the spread giving dense shade under its umbrella form. Sweet fruity fragrance wafts from ivory white thick petaled flowers. Pink-crimson boss of stamens giving quite a contrast of colour. Nodding blossoms are cup shaped and appear with the leaves in late spring. Dark green roundish leaves are downy on the undersides.
